Thai Airways to increase frequency from Delhi
Thai Airways International has introduced four additional ‘Daylight flights’ between New Delhi and Bangkok. With the introduction of these flights the total frequency of weekly flights between New Delhi and Bangkok now increases to 11. The new ‘Daylight flights’ will be operating on every Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays with the flights departing from New Delhi at 12:05 hrs (IST) and arriving at Bangkok at 18:00 hrs local time.
The additional flights will prove to be very convenient for international travellers for onward connections to over 77 cities in five continents. Thai Airways International is also introducing three additional flights each from Bangalore and Mumbai by July 1, 2008. After the introduction of these new additional flights to Bangkok, the total increased frequency post July 1, 2008, will be 50 flights a week from India to Thailand.
Jet Airways introduces direct flights on Chennai-Pune route
Enhancing its frequency further, Jet Airways introduces daily direct flights between Chennai and Pune. The operations started from May 15, 2008. The existing route which connects Chennai to Pune is via Bangalore. Jet Airways’ flight 9W 491 (Chennai-Pune) will depart Chennai at 1725 hrs and arrive Pune at 1900 hrs. While returning, Jet Airways’ flight 9W 492 (Pune-Chennai) will depart Pune at 1935 hrs and arrive in Chennai at 2120 hrs.
Air Mauritius introduces special companion offer in business class
Air Mauritius has introduced special companion offer in business class ex Bangalore /Mumbai /Delhi /Chennai to Mauritius and return, valid from 19th May 2008 to 30th June, 2008 (inclusive except return to be completed by 10th July, 2008.
Jet Airways enters into Frequent Flyer partnership with All Nippon Airlines
Jet Airways’ Jet Privilege, India’s largest frequent flyer programme, has entered into a frequent-flyer partnership with All Nippon Airways (ANA), effective May 21, 2008.
With this partnership, Jet Privilege members will have additional opportunities to earn and redeem their JP Miles on All Nippon Airlines marketed and operated flights to over 50 destinations in Japan and 27 cities throughout Asia, Europe and the United States.
Jet Privilege members will also earn JP Miles while traveling on the Jet Airways code share flight between Mumbai and Tokyo Narita, on the All Nippon Airlines operated daily business jet flights.
This partnership will also allow All Nippon Airline’s Mileage Club members to earn and redeem their miles on Jet Airways’ over 385 daily flights to 43 destinations in India and 17 international destinations.
Indian Airlines re-introduces “Spot Fares”
Indian Airlines will be re-introducing ‘Spot Fares’ on the Domestic Network w.e.f. 27th May 2008.
This scheme is applicable for travel on domestic flights out of six metro cities, namely Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Bangalore. Spot Fares will also be available for sale on flights originating from 31 stations i.e. Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Bagdogra, Bhubaneshwar, Bhopal, Cochin, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Goa, Indore, Imphal, Jaipur, Jammu, Jodhpur, Khajuraho, Kochi, Kozikode, Leh, Lucknow, Patna, Pune, Port Blair, Raipur, Ranchi, Silchar, Srinagar, Tiruvanthpuram, Udaipur, Vishakhapatnam, Varanasi, and Vadodara.
The scheme would be available for travel with effect from 27th May 2008 until further notice. The following conditions will be applicable for travel under Spot Fares:
1. No FFP points will accrue on tickets purchased under this offer.
2. Bookings on Time Limit basis, Wait List and open tickets will not be allowed.
3. Tickets issued under the offer will be non-endorsable and will be valid for travel on Indian Airlines only.
4. Child and Infant fares will not be permitted
5. Applicable for travel in Economy Class on select Domestic Sectors only.
* Validity of the Ticket - Only for travel on the flight for which it is issued.
* Cancellation and Refund - No Refund permissible
* Reservation - On confirmed Basis
